The award categories are:
Training Excellence - Schools Program
Hutchinson Builders Construction School of the Year
To nominate, the school must be involved in one of Construction Skills Queensland’s school-based programs including Doorways 2 Construction or Doorways 2 Civil Construction.

To nominate, students must be:
- A school-based apprentice or trainee in the construction industry currently completing year 12 OR
- A current school student who has completed or is currently enrolled in a CSQ school-based construction course such as Doorways 2 Construction or Doorways 2 Civil Construction.
Learning Organisation Excellence Awards
Australian Council For Private Education and Training Private Registered Training Organisation Of The Year
To nominate, your organisation must:
- Be a current registered training organisation; and
- Deliver vocational education and training to the construction and building industry.
Australian Brick & Blocklaying Training Foundation Public Registered Training Organisation of the Year
To nominate your organisation must:
- Be a current registered training organisation; and
- Deliver vocational education and training to the construction and building industry.
- Be a government-owned organisation
QLeave Individual Trainer of the Year
To nominate you must:
- Be a current trainer/teacher within the construction industry; and
- Train either with a private or public Registered Training Organisation or
- Are directly employed in a trades or technical training role within a construction organisation
Employer Commitment to Training Awards

John Holland Employer Commitment To Training – Queensland Up To $5Million Turnover
For a construction business or a construction project up to $5M in turnover or value.
Government owned organisations or Registered Training Organisations are not eligible to nominate for employer categories.
